Assumption Greek Orthodox Church Youth Choir is the church’s music ministry responsible for youth liturgical music activities and the education and support of developing young church musicians, ages 8-18. The Youth Choir embraces the call in Scripture to “Make a Joyful Noise Unto the Lord” and in so doing, participates in singing the Divine Liturgy twice a month with brief rehearsals preceding each liturgy. The Youth Choir sings in the annual Christmas Story, performs a program following Christmas Vespers Services and chants and sings hymns and prayers during special Lenten services annually.

In addition, Youth Choir members who wish to be readers, please contact me. There are opportunities to read at the Wednesday evening Pre-Sanctified Liturgy Services in addition to our normal Epistle Readings.

CHANTERS
Also, please contact me immediately if you wish to chant the Άσπιλε or Και Δός Ημίν prayers on one of the 5 Friday Χαιρετισμοί (Salutations) Services. This is for Youth Choir members who are 10-18 years of age.
